E2E NEXT SERIES OF INDUCTIVE SENSORS FROM OMRON
Inductive sensors are an extraordinarily important group of control system components that is present in every automated industrial plant, but also more and more commonly in households. Thanks to their simple design and a wide array of sizes they guarantee very long and failure-free work, and the ever newer solutions allow you to choose the right sensor for every application.
Design and operation of Omron sensors

Inductive sensors work in a very simple way. They are meant to detect the presence of a specific object(s) in their surroundings. They can also count all objects or only those with selected characteristics. It makes no difference whether it is the device with the sensor or the object to be detected that is the moving element. When the distance between the two objects is small enough to reach a certain specific value, the EMF around the sensors reacts with the approaching metal object, inducing eddy currents in it. With the movement of both objects in relation to one another, the amplitude and frequency of vibration change. In order to acquire an adequate signal power, the sensor is additionally equipped with an amplifier, whereas hysteresis is maintained by the so-called Schmitt trigger. The sensors offered by Omron have brass, nickel-coated bodies or those made of stainless steel. There are two-, three- or four-pin variants. Cable length ranges from 0.3 to even 15 linear metres.

Inductive sensor applications

It is impossible to list all the applications of inductive sensors. There are numerous fields in which this technology is used. Without inductive sensors, most automated production plants or industrial halls would not be able to operate. Below, you will find some examples of inductive sensor applications:

  • Control of the position of a container gate;
  • Sensor calculating the rotation speed of a shaft in a rotating machine;
  • Signalling the opening and closing of a garage door;
  • Limit switch causing a conveyer belt to stop and start.

E2E Next sensors at TME

E2E Next sensors – advanced solutions for the demanding ones

Inductive sensors of the highest quality should be highly durable against the atmospheric conditions, adequately sensitive and reliable. All those characteristics and many more can be found in Omron products. The E2E Next inductive sensors are some of the most modern and truly exceptional among these. The most important features that make them stand out on the market are:

  • A wide array of versions and sizes available – due to the different work characteristics and various places where the sensors will be installed, customers’ requirements regarding the sensor size also differ. In its range of products, Omron has sensors with a total length of 37.6÷97.3mm, which will certainly satisfy all the needs in this respect;
  • The longest sensing distance in the world – according to the manufacturer’s data, E2E Next sensors operate in the range of up to 50 mm, thanks to which they are safe from direct contact with the sensed element and damage;
  • Increased oil resistance of the cables for up to 2 years according to the IP67G rating, as well as water and washing resistance confirmed by the IP69K rating;
  • IO-Link – a very useful function of the E2E Next sensors, which can be used to control the current technical condition of the sensors and prevent unwanted malfunctions;
  • A wide range of permissible operating temperatures: -25÷70°C;
  • E-jig mounting sleeve for quick sensor replacement (in only 10 seconds);

Omron offer at TME

Apart from the sensors described above, Omron, being a leading manufacturer of industrial automatics components, has a wide array of products in its catalogue that will sufficiently satisfy the needs of every automated area of your operations.

Check out the Omron products available from TME

It is worth noting that the manufacturer’s catalogue includes photoelectric, capacitive and fibre-optic sensors, too. In addition to the sensors described above, they allow you to choose from all the solutions that are available on the market. Apart from that, connection cables for those sensors are also offered.

Omron’s range of products is much wider, though. In order to fulfil satisfy its customers’ needs in the field of automation, the manufacturer offers devices such as:

  • Encoders;
  • Time, monitoring and programmable relays;
  • Temperature regulators;
  • Counters;
  • Limit switches;
  • HMI panels;
  • PLC drivers;
  • Industrial and solid-state relays;
  • Contactors;
  • Power supplies;
  • Inverters;
  • Panel-mounted switches.

NEW SOLDERING STATIONS FROM JBC
Soldering station technology continues to evolve as the miniaturisation of devices and components constantly progresses. Modern professional equipment used in service stations or laboratories in which electronic circuits are made manually is characterised by high functionality which surpasses the capacity of the “classical” tools.

GAMING, COMPUTER ACCESSORIES AND OTHER RELATED PRODUCTS
Long gone are the days when gamers had to make do with a worn, dusty PC, whose case was held together by four different screws and a piece of string. Nowadays, computer fiends go for high-performance hardware and flashy computer stations.

POWER SUPPLY BY PANASONIC ‒ AN OVERVIEW OF THE OFFERED SOLUTIONS
In the modern world, basic electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors are often overshadowed by the universally applied microprocessors. However, it is these seemingly insignificant components that form the foundation without which no advanced electronic system could exist. Thanks to them, the basic tasks and functions of electronic circuits can be carried out.

HELUKABEL THERMOCOUPLE COMPENSATING CABLES
The TME offer now includes thermocouple compensating cables by HELUKABEL, a highly renowned manufacturer. The company supplies a variety of products designed for making professional connections in accordance with industrial quality and durability standards – from power supply to modern digital communication solutions.

INDUSTRIAL, SIGNAL, AND OTHER TYPES OF CABLES
The use of the right cables determines the quality of the end result in every application: from making connections for power tools to complex installations in the field of industrial automation. TKD is committed to providing solutions that are tailored to the specific requirements in a wide variety of fields...

INDUSTRIAL ICT CABLES BY HELUKABEL
HELUKABEL is a well-recognized supplier of high quality cables for diverse applications. The core part of this manufacturer’s range of products are cables for professional and industrial use. In the TME catalogue, you will find a wide choice of HELUKABEL products, including the most popular transmission standards used in automation systems, as well as industrial IT network cabling.

WAVESURFER 3000Z SERIES OSCILLOSCOPES BY TELEDYNE LECROY
The WaveSurfer 3000Z series oscilloscopes by Teledyne Lecroy are 4-channel devices designed to troubleshoot and analyse electronic circuits – both at the prototyping and servicing stage. Here, advanced functionalities meet simplicity of use thanks to the MAUI touch screen.

COMPONENTS FOR EV CHARGING STATIONS BY PANASONIC
Charging stations are the main element of the infrastructure developed for electric vehicles. Such devices are subject to strict standardisation, and many manufacturers of electronic engineering solutions are involved in producing them. They are supported in this task by prestigious suppliers of electronic elements, including Panasonic, who offer high-quality components and subassemblies for such applications.

WIRES FROM THE ECOGEN® SERIES BY ALPHA WIRE
For many years, one of the most troubling issues for the industry and automation was their impact on the high production of materials that are harmful to the environment. Until recently, any electrical system upgrade meant that some amount of hardly recyclable waste was going to be generated. However, it is the thing of the past.

NEW ZP SERIES OF UNIVERSAL ENCLOSURES BY KRADEX
KRADEX is a Polish manufacturer of plastic enclosures, which started its operations in 1985. Since the beginning, the company has put much emphasis on the development of production processes, selection of materials, as well as ongoing modernisation of its technical facilities.
