Anritsu Introduces Auto Test and Alignment system for Motorola APX Radios on the LMR Master S412E

Anritsu Corporation, a global leader in advanced test and measurement solutions, announces its latest advancement in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) radio testing technology. The Auto Test and Alignment system with the LMR Master S412E has been developed in partnership with Motorola and supports their APX and APX NEXT P25 radios.

Motorola P25 radios provide critical communications to first responders and security services. Reliable communications in the most challenging environments requires radio systems that are operating to their peak performance. The Auto Test and Alignment system provides a fully integrated solution to retune the radios to Motorola’s specification and automate essential measurements on the radio’s RF performance.

Organizations operating communications networks based on Motorola APX and APX NEXT radios typically operate a regular service plan for all handsets. Anritsu’s Auto Test and Alignment system runs on a standard Windows PC. The simple one-button test feature initiates retuning of the radio and validation of performance against Motorola’s specification. By automating complex tasks, such as frequency and power measurements, modulation analysis, and alignment adjustments, the Auto Test and Alignment system enables radio technicians to conduct rigorous testing and alignment procedures with ease and confidence, accelerating the testing process while minimizing the margin for error. The software automatically records test records for each radio providing a fully documented service history.

Anritsu’s LMR Master S412E is the only test instrument approved by Motorola for both infrastructure (base station) and subscriber (mobile handset) testing.

"Our commitment to delivering superior test and measurement solutions has driven the development of the Auto Test and Alignment feature," said Angus Robinson, Product Marketing Manager at Anritsu Company. "We understand the critical role that Motorola P25 radios play in mission-critical environments. Our goal is to provide technicians with the tools they need to ensure optimal performance and reliability."

Key benefits of the Anritsu Auto Test and Alignment feature include:

  • Automated Testing and Alignment to Motorola specifications: System approved by Motorola for automated maintenance process.
  • Advanced Report Generation: Automatically generates detailed reports after each test and alignment session, providing invaluable insights into the radio's performance and maintenance history.
  • Comprehensive Test History: Offers an enhanced view of each radio's maintenance records over time, enabling better strategic planning and lifecycle management.
  • One button testing: Designed with simplicity and efficiency in mind, making it accessible to technicians of all skill levels.

The Auto Test and Alignment feature is available on the Anritsu LMR Master S412E, providing a comprehensive solution for radio frequency testing across a wide range of applications. With its advanced report generation and testing capabilities and unmatched reliability, Anritsu continues to set new standards in the test and measurement industry.
